I love to read, although I don't get to sit & read as much as I wish I could... I am looking for some good book recommendations. Please help! I like novels-love historical fiction, love the classics, etc. I finished Jane Eyre last week & loved that book. I re-read the Chronicles of Narnia, and I am currently reading a great book called the Time Travelers Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. So if anybody has some good books they read, let me know. Thanks!!

i highly recommend the book thief - one of my favorite of all time. and if you haven't read the kite runner, that too. then a thousand splendid suns. those are a few goodies. also - anything by jodi piccoult. she's an awesome storyteller. i love how she picks an issue that you think is so black and white & then at the end, you're torn. try my sister's keeper, vanishing acts, 19 minutes.
I really enjoyed StarDust by Neil Gaiman it was a good fairytale. Pere Goriot is a classic French book that's as depressing as all French films are. I'm currently reading
Lost Prophet: The Book of Enoch and Its Influence on Christianity. You'd probably be bored with it but Rich would like it. Check out my goodreads page to see my "complete bookshelf" (I just sent an invite to your hotmail address)
I don't have much time to read. I am just finishing up Harry Potter (which my boys love), and I am in the diddle of The Work and The Glory (I really enjoy this).
Well I finished my Lost Prophet book last night and am now working on The Great Transformation which is a book about the drastic changes in religious thought between BC 800-300. Very interesting book. That said I think one of my Young Men wants me to read a bad Sci Fi book that he likes. Oh the things I do to be supportive in my calling.
Thanks guys! I just joined that goodreads website. What a fun concept. I really like it.
I also love historical fiction. A book I really enjoyed is A Tree Grows in Brooklynn. The author is Betty White. I also agree with Hayley's choice of The Kite Runner. I also enjoyed reading Angela's Ashes by Frank McCourt. However that is a memoir about growing up in Ireland.
