So sore!

I went Snowboarding last night for the first time in my life. Now those of you who know anything about me know I am not the most athletic person. I was a little frightened. I have been skiing like 3 times in my life-spaced over my entire lifetime. So this was a big deal. Well, I did pretty well, and I actually enjoyed it-until I woke up this morning, that is. I have never been so sore inall my life! I hurt EVERYWHERE!!! Ouch! It was worth it, though. It was really fun. I think it is something I'd do again, even. I think I spent more time on my butt than I did up on the board, but I hear that's pretty normal for first-timers. Rich warned me ahead of time that I would fall tons, and I definitely did not prove him wrong. Tonya (Rich's sister) had never been snowboarding before either, but I think she is superwoman. She was boarding straight down on her first time. No surprises there, though. She is like the best athlete I know. Rich was so incredibly patient with me. He stayed with me the whole time teaching me & helping me up & encouraging me. I'm sure he was dying to go off on his own, but he stayed right with me until I couldn't pull myself up anymore (literally). Then he went on his own a little. But, it was a blast. I recommend it to everyone-even all the cowards out there. I did it, didn't I?

That looks like so much fun. I am so jealous since we haven't made it to the snow in about a year or more. I am so glad you tryed it and had a lot of fun.

I'm sore from playing bball yesterday at church. It doesn't compare in coolness but maybe it will help get rid of some of the fatness. As to snow we're getting a good snowfall today. First real storm since December that didn't involve a layer of icing first.

umm...pretty sure snowboarding the BEST thing to do in the whole world! I am so so jealous! I miss my snowboarding days in Utah. Board at least 3 times a week for a few hours...but now we live in Kentucky. Where the sun does NOT shine which means it's cold, BUT not cold enough for a lot of snow or mountains to ride. LAME!
