Me Time & Puke Time

I got to go to Women's Conference at BYU this week. I went just Thursday since it's kinda hard to have someone watch the kids for 2 full days. I was a little bummed when I found out the Pres. Monson was speaking at today's closing session...sad to miss that. But I will try to catch it when they broadcast it. Anyway, it was a great chance to get away & just work on myself a little. It is amazing how little time you get for yourself as a mom. I greatly need time when I can just ponder & think about adult things. So I was happy to have a day to do just that yesterday. It's funny how just driving in a car by myself is a treat. I really like doing that...it NEVER happens anymore. But it was a great & uplifting day. I think I may just make a tradition out of it. Anyone want to join me next year?

Other happenings this week:
I taught Joyschool here today and Wednesday. I have been doing Joyschool for Brennan this year with a few other moms in the neighborhood. It's a fun way to do preschool. I have really enjoyed it. I only taught once every 5 weeks, which is great. Brennan really loves it. He's learning so much this year. It's fun to watch his mind grow & get excited about learning new things. Here's a picture from a few months ago of him & some of his classmates.

Elsie & Brennan both have been sick. Last week, Brennan threw up all over his bed during the night sometime & then slept in it. He didn't even tell me until an hour after he was awake. Not sure how I didn't notice... Elsie had Roseola this week (high fever for 2 days, then a rash the 3rd day) She was just getting better yesterday, then she threw up this afternoon. Yeah! She's been asleep for a few hours, we'll see how she is when she wakes up. That would be right now...

Wow Karyn. Awesome new layout...I've been reading from my google rss feed so I haven't been to your actual site in awhile. Very sleek.

If there is one thing that really makes me hate being a mom- is all the throw up! You never know when it will start and when it will end!
