Here's another fun thing I did last week. We had a fun girl's night activity for our church last week. I was in charge of a craft- they wanted to do decorated picture frames. My sister made a fun set of letters spelling her kids names with this idea so I kinda stole it. It turned out SO cute. It was very simple, but doesn't look like it when it's finished. It could be a really fun gift with Christmas heading our way.
Supplies:
Wooden picture frame
Mod-podge
Paper scraps (scrapbook papers, or wrapping paper both work well)
Paint brush
Buttons
Tacky glue
All you do is tear the paper into random shapes & sizes. You apply some mod-podge onto the frame & cover it with paper scraps. Make sure to remove the glass from the frame before starting. If you are using thicker paper, get it pretty soggy with the mod-podge so it is pliable. You can mix & match any fun colors you want. I tried to make it look pretty random when I put them on. I didn't want it to be a pattern. After you cover it with paper, paint a coat of mod-podge on top of the paper to seal it on. I let it dry for a few hours. Then I glued a few buttons in the corners with tacky glue.
