Brennan got a Webkinz for his birthday from his cousins. Apparently, they are all the rage among the kids these days. I didn't really do much with it for a few weeks, then we started playing & have not looked back. They suck you in & make you spend more money & make you need to come on every day to play. Ok, I'll admit it, I am addicted right along with Brennan.
So for those of you who haven't had the pleasure of learning about it yet, here's the deal. You buy a little stuffed animal That has a code attached to it on the tag. You go to the website & enter in the code. It allows you to adopt the pet, name it & decorate a room for it. You go to school & learn skills so you can do daily jobs & earn money called "kinzcash". There are games & activities to do- all of which help you earn "kinzcash" so you can buy more virtual stuff.
Brennan loves it & I love playing right along with him. I know, I'm pathetic. Some kind of genius invented these things.

I heard about this on the radio the other day. I guess so many adults are getting hooked on it too. Sounds like fun- no, I should not get close to it... sounds too fun!
Luckily the excitement does wane at some point which means you get to save money again. My kids were all obsessed last year and couldn't go to bed until they had put their Webkinz to bed but luckily we can now go months without checking on them. It is very cute the only drawback is we now have gobs of stuffed animals. If they have a Justice for girls (used to be Limited Too) they usually have a buy one get one free or I bought some LilKinz at Amazon for pretty cheap. They have all the same functions online they are just mini in real life. Have fun!
Glad you had fun with Rich's parents. Dave's parents came for the weekend as well. They brought a box of Dave's stuff so we were going through it. We found a picture of you and Dave attending a dance at Ricks!
I have a friend who stays up late at night keeping up her kids webkins. Dylan just got his first one too!
