Rich's grandmother, Alma McDonald passed away on Monday. Today we are going to her funeral to say our goodbyes. It's always sad to lose someone that you hold dear. She is a beautiful soul & a kind & generous person. I am glad to have known her for the few short years that I did. She will be greatly missed in this family. She was not well , so I know that she is in a better place now. I'm glad I know this- it gives me great comfort through death. I love knowing that because I was married in the Temple I can have the assurance of being with my family after I die. I am sure she was greeted in Heaven by her parents & brothers and sisters who love her & have missed her, too.
Life is so precious. Losing a life always makes me appreciate those that I love even more. I want to spend more time with Grandma & Grandpa who are still alive. I want to hug my kids more. I want to take more pictures of my family. I want to learn more about the stories of their lives. Most of all, I want to remember to treasure the moments I have with them.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Please hug Grandma closer and longer for me the next time you see her. I miss her terribly, and wish I was only across town like you are!
