Santa's Little Helper

I have been working on a fun project for this Christmas. We want to have a set of costumes to act out the Christmas story each year with the kids. But it seems that every time I try to work on them, something bad happens. First my machine broke & I had to take it in and get it fixed- this put me out for over a week. Last night, I was excited to have my machine back & was cutting out the next part of my pattern. I had to go do something. I thought to put my scissors up high and move the fabric and pattern out of the middle of the floor. When I came back, here is what I discovered.
I think it was Santa's elves trying to help. Or maybe just my little girl trying to be like her Mommy & cut out some fabric. I wasn't too happy, but my Mom said (and I know she's right) that I'll be laughing about it down the road... I'm going to have to do some repair work to the little holes in the fabric since I don't have enough to cut new pieces of the Wiseman robe. But, we'll survive.

Ask Rich about the time he decided to cut something with scissors. I think he was 5 years old. He cut his great grandmother's tatted doily.
