Oh- life has gotten busy. It's taken me a while to catch my breath from all that's been going on in my life.
Baby boy still has no name, other than "rainbow head", at the moment. Every time we ask the kids what they think the baby's name should be, Elsie says "I think rainbow head, or rainbow, or head". So, Rich has taken to calling him rainbow head.
The start of home schooling has come and gone. We are LOVING it! I am having so much fun teaching Brennan. He is such a sweet kid. He has learned so much already. We're using the k-12 program along with extra things that I am adding in to supplement the subjects we don't get from that. It is keeping me really busy. The cleanliness of the house has greatly suffered because of it, but it's SO worth it. I really feel like it's the best thing in the world for my family right now! One of the best parts is the growth I have experienced through the whole process. I have learned SO much on my journey to prepare myself for doing this. I have met some amazing people as well.
Once a week, we have what's called "Friday Fun Classes". There is a great group of people we are meeting with in Lehi from all around northern Utah County. There are about 30 families in the group. We have 3 terms of classes that vary. Right now we are doing Science & American History, Gym, and Art for Brennan's age group. The moms all take turns teaching. Each term the classes change (except for the history & science). Righ now I teach the history class once a month. Next term I get to team teach a singing class with the younger kids. It should be tons of fun! Brennan & I are both making some great friends.
For Preschool, we are doing a little neighborhood group. There are 6 moms that each take a week & we just focus on 1 letter each week. It's been so much fun. Elsie is loving it. The kids are all so cute- the moms doing it are awesome as well!! On the days she doesn't have her preschool, she BEGS for more preschool stuff. She is really craving learning right now. It's fun to watch her growth.
Now, back to the rainbow subject. Here is a fun rainbow project I did with the kids this week. They loved it!! I saved 2 egg cartons & they painted each section a different color. Once they were dry, we went on a color hunt outside. We went on a little walk and found things to go into each section.
