A First

Last night I attended my very first book club meeting. I have never been to a book club. I always thought it sounded like a fun thing. My ward has been doing it for a few months, but this is the first one I've been able to go to. I really enjoyed it. Our book this month was 'The Diving Bell & the Butterfly. It was a fascinating book because the man who wrote it is paralyzed. He did the entire thing by blinking his one working eye. They had a system for figuring out which letter he wanted to spell out words. It's crazy to think about it. He used to be the editor of the French version of Elle magazine & had a stroke that paralyzed him. Anyways, book clubs are fun, thanks to Cathy & Jeannie! I think I may just do it again.

I love your cake! You are amazing. I love book clubs, but it is so hard to find the time to read it all before hand. Reading is great too- I think that is what nursing is for!

I'm glad you came to book club, I always enjoy it. It's a great way to figure out how people view the world, and it's fun to learn new things together. Speaking of...nice cake, it looks fabulous! I've been decorating cakes for a long time, so if you ever need to brainstorm how to do something, I'll be happy to add my two cents.
