The Greatest Find

I have been trying to build up my food storage a little bit lately. I feel ths strong need to do it. It's kind of a hard situation for me since I am living at my mom's house & don't have a place to store it. So, Igot a couple of bins for under my bed & have been slowly adding to them. Since I went to that bread class this week (see my cooking blog for details)I feel like I need to start a storage of wheat that I can grind & make into bread. I think I am going to be doing a lot of bread making in the future now. Yesterday, my Mom & I went around looking for a few tools & ingredients to start our bread making. We kept hearing about this store called Alison's Pantry in Pleasant Grove, so we went to find it. It's a pretty cool store. They have tons of stuff in bulk that you can buy to stock up on. They had this little clearance section in the back that I went to check out. They had 4 bags of wheat that had torn, so they were half off. I was so excited! I bought all 4 bags. Now I just need a few buckets & I am set for a little while. I kinda felt like it was my blessing for obeying & starting a food storage like we have been asked & instructed to do. Now that I got that little head start I will just wait for case-lot sales to build up on other things. It makes me feel a little more secure to know that when I move out of my Mom's house I won't be starting my pantry from scratch. I want to have some things so I won't have to stock it all at once. I just need to start shopping for a wheat grinder so I can make all this wheat into flour. Any good ideas anyone?

Great find! So, how was Allison's pantry? I've heard about it but never been.
