Planting Day

I am so excited! Today my Mom, Brennan & I planted our vegetable garden. We cleared several areas to plant and earlier this week went and got the plants & seeds. We have been waiting until this weekend to plant them. Today was the day. It was really fun to get everything in the ground. We are going to have a huge harvest. We may not need to buy vegetables this summer. Here's a list of the plants we did:

Tomatoes
Green Beans
Cabbage
Lettuce (various kinds)
Watermelon
Cantaloupe
Cucumber
Carrots
Red, yellow, & green bell peppers
Jalepeno peppers
Spinach
Broccoli
Cauliflower

We also have our strawberry patch filling in, raspberry bushes, Grapes (green & concord), peach, apricot, cherry & apple trees. I am so excited for summer produce! Yum! If you're hungry, come on over & share the wealth (in a few months).

You're making me hungry. I love fresh tomatoes and homemade salsa and peaches. You'll have to take pictures of the harvest!)

I'm so jealous of your garden!! You could totally ship me an assortment of your harvest right? Hahaha, just kidding. Sounds like you had a great time though!

I wish so badly I could have a garden! There's the whole fire escape thing, but we share our escape with a neighbor and the pigeons tend to eat up anything out there... so to get my fresh garden produce fix, I'm going to California and eating up everything my in-laws plant this year! They tend to ask me what I want planted and then I take over and cook all the meals. It's a great deal for me! Good luck with your crops this year- hope it's *fruitful*.

Do you want to come over and plant mine now? Jake and I are going to try and get it done next weekend... hopefully. You're helping me get motivated.
