We had a busy weekend with Elsie's 1st Birthday, Father's Day, and Rich & I both spoke in church. It was fun, eventful. I am glad it is all done. The talks went well, Elsie's Birthday was fabulous & messy, and Father's Day a complete success. I got Rich some Mitt Romney cuff links (or Romney bling as someone said at church yesterday) for Father's Day -along with the pictures of the kids that he got early.
Elsie's birthday was very simple. We learned with Brennan that the 1-year-old cares nothing about the birthday, it is all for the parents. She did have a little cake to dig in to. It took some time, but she finally got the hang of it. She got pretty excited-hit a sugar high, then you will also see the sugar low. She didn't really get the hang of opening presents. Maybe next year...
She also has been walking a little bit here & there. She only takes 2-3 steps at a time. Last night she really got going & did it a whole bunch of times. I think we are almost there. It's so crazy that my baby is 1 & almost walking. Still getting over all of that. No pictures of the walking, sorry!
Here are the pictures of her Birthday:

hey, that look s like a pretty cool toy! I loved her cupcakes, very nicely decorated. You still have to teach me your tricks!
Romney cufflinks? Wow. I am speechless. Glad to hear that Rich is wearing French cuff shirts though. I converted to them a couple years ago and haven't looked back.
Your kids are so cute, they are any amazingly good mix of you both! I can't say that for us, my kids just look like Connor!
