On Saturday, my sister, Mara & I went hiking up towards Stewart Falls. It's a good little hike, 2-3 miles. I wore a backpack carrier with Elsie. Brennan walked & Mara's little boy, Luke who is 2 walked as well. We had a fun time. The boys did great, Mara had to carry Luke lots of the way down, though. He was pretty worn out. Elsie, as usual, yelled lots of the time & fought to get out of carrier. That child does not like to be restrained at all. But I kept putting food into her mouth and she quieted down. We didn't quite make it all the way to the top since 3 little ones slow you down a bit. It took a lot longer than we expected. Mara left her baby, Annie behind & was worried about her so we turned back. It was a good workout though, carrying 25 lbs on my back & hiking up a mountain. I will definitely do it again, hopefully making it to the top next time.
Being out in the mountains reminds me of how much I love it. I always wonder why I don't do it more often. I live in such an amazing place & need to take advantage of it more often.
The boys found lots of caterpillars to examine. I found some itchy arms that have lingered for 2 days.

so cute! I am going to post about that now!
I am so jealous! I hike that hike every day when I am at Aspen Grove and last year I had to do it by myself every day becuase my family wasn't there (just Trav's) and they weren't into hiking. So I hiked it pregnant and alone :( Not as fun as if I had been with you girls and your kids. You are superwoman to hike that with a baby on your back - it's a tough hike! We can't wait to see you guys!
That looks awesome. Call me next time...PLEASE! I would love to do that hike with you!
Wow, you are so strong! You go girl!
The picture with you holding both kids is so cute! What a work out!
