I am curious to see what you guys think about these choices. I think both sides made very good selections, personally. Biden is more experienced in the areas where Obama is lacking. Palin is a surprising choice, but is a woman (hello!) & can get al those lost hillary voters. She also has experience in off shore drilling (being from Alaska) & is quite conservative. She is someone I relate to. I was surprised by his choice, but I was also surprised by how excited it made me. I don't get excited by McCain or Obama. But McCain's VP choice made me a little happier about voting.
What's your opinion?

I think it's funny that both of the poll responders agree. I'd say that Palin cuts off a major line of attack for McCain. If he goes after Obama's inexperience he'll get hammered because of her. As to her appeal to the disgruntled Hillaryites out there, I just don't see it. She's so far to the right of most of those women that I just don't see them over looking her opposing all abortions even in cases of rape and incest.
As to Biden, he was the safe pick. He does shore up Obama's negatives but he doesn't bring a whole lot to the table and you just know talk radio will bring up the old plagariasm problem that he had.
Personally I'm surprised that McCain didn't select Hutchinson or Pawletney (or Mitt). As to Obama, I really wish he'd selected Richardson or Nepolitano. I think both would help balance the ticket with a western influence.
Quote of the day though on Fox News. Pallin does have international experience because "look how close Alaska is to Russia". Man those guys are morons.
I wish it was Mitt but I kind of feel jazzed about Palen. I definitely was not looking forward to McCain before. Maybe I can get a little excited now.
Okay- love the alphabet mat, love the new background an header and the garden!! I have always wanted to do a garden but haven't lived anywhere long enough. So I will give you a call when I am making all the mistakes.
I LOVE Obama. I think he's done a great job in picking his VP, Biden should provide a good balance. And I'd also LOVE for the political season to be O-V-E-R.
Ummmm...don't think she'll be picking up many of the Hilary voters. Just coming from a land of Hilary voters, most of us, not so interested in Palin, not her kids, not her politics, not her experience. Although, I do have to say, I respect the rifle. :)
