The Fruits of my Labor

Here are some of the things our garden has produced. I have gotta tell you- I am completely sold on the gardening thing. Not sure why I never did it before, but I sure love it. We had lots of things that didn't work out, but I am learning so much. It'll help me in my planting for next year. The fun part has been pulling things from the garden for dinner- Oh we need lettuce? I'll go pick some... It's great! I have also loved making loads and loads of fruit leather, dried fruit, jam, etc... We had a huge crop of apricots, peaches & grapes. The tomatoes, squash, peppers, & green beans are all ripening up a few at a time.

I had a little help in the garden the other day. I picked some vegetables & set them down to keep picking. Elsie came along and took a bite of a green bean, then took a huge bite out of a tomato. She like the tomato better. How she knew it was food, I'm not sure. However, she had no trouble finishing off an entire tomato like it was an apple. They are some sweet tomatoes.

Oh how jealous am I! This is one thing that I really miss about Utah. You can't grow a blessed thing in Vegas except bugs. Looks yummy!

My goodness, great job! I haven't done much this year. I am usually excited in the beginning but then I don't keep it up. My excuse is "Not my own house" but oh well...

Karyn, I need your help! I have wanted to start a garden and now that we moved and are settled I am determined to do it. We need to get together so I can get some pointers. I am VERY impressed!!
