A Tripp Going Down Memory Lane

My 12th Birthday party

I've been thinking a lot today about old friends. I am not very good about keeping in contact with people. I have lost contact with so many great friends over the years. It doesn't mean that I don't dearly love these people & treasure the memories I have with them. It just means I'm lazy. Well, in the past few years I have been able to rekindle so many friendships through Facebook & now through blogging. I love these tools that keep us connected now. I feel like I know what's going on in people's lives that I had long since lost touch with. I am feeling a little nostalgic today cause an old High School friend connected with me on Facebook & brought back a flood of memories.

I was thinking about how long it's been since I had seen this friend & it made me realize how much I have grown up, about how old I am becoming. I am a mother of 2 I have been married for 7 1/2 years, I have past my 10-year High School reunion, I am nearing my 30th birthday...I could go on, but I think you get the point. I guess it's made me realize I really am not a kid anymore. I look at the college kids & they look so young to me. I look at the high school kids & they look like babies. Why is it that you never feel old inside, though? I still feel like the kids I was way back when. The best part about getting older, is looking back on how many wonderful friendships you've had through the years. I have been lucky to cross paths with some good people!!!

So a big thanks to the internet! Thanks for helping me reconnect with old friends. I really love technology.

Here are a few oldies (but goodies) for your viewing pleasure.

ok, this cannot be true. who is the in the bottom picture with you? middle? Not Kristy (used to be) Wilkes right? Not even. It's got to be a look alike.

I've just been thinking the same thing. A bunch of elementary and high school friends have gotten in touch with me through facebook. It's crazy to see them with their kids--and totally weird to see how much their kids look like them!!

It's great to reconnect with people after all these years, but it makes you realize how fast time goes by.

Anyway, thought I'd pop in and give big hugs to you, Rich & the kids.

Hope to see you again soon,
Vickie

Everything you said is SO true. I still feel like I'm 20, 22 years old. I sometimes wish I was. High school and college seems like yesterday. Scary!
