Lack of Inspiration

I just have not really felt much blogging inspiration lately... Not sure why. So, to all my "devoted fans" I apologize. We have been enjoying some lazy summer days. Elsie got her first haircut & has been attempting to go on the potty. Brennan is loving all the library books we're checking out & is reading up a storm- as am I.

This month is a busy month for me, however. I had my LDS song/songwriter conference this oast Saturday. It was such a fun experience. I learned so much about the music business & about what kinds of things I would need to do if I wanted to pursue music any further- which I basically decided I probably won't. It just not something I can devote sp much of my time to at this stage in my life (in the middle of raising my family). This coming saturday is my recording session with Jenny Phillips. It's the competition part of it all. They listen to all the singers & choose their favorite to record the song. I am super excited to experience what it's like to be in a recording studio. It's something I have always wanted to do. I am not really banking on winning-especially after hearing some of the other singers last week- but it should still be lots of fun.

Also, coming this month are 2 traveling firesides for the Jenny Phillips fireside/choir that I got into. We are going to good old Rexburg , ID next weekend. (that should be fun! I haven't been back in so many years) The following weekend is St George, & Vegas. That one is overnight- it should be pretty fun.

And for my next item of business- My nephew, Jaydon, who has been staying with us for part of the summer will now be enrolling in school & living with us through Christmas. It'll basically be like I am gaining a 3rd child. He is such a sweet kid. He & Brennan adore each other.
