Working out

So, I just have to share my new favorite workout. When I went to BYU I took the aerobics classes there all the time. I had a favorite instructor that I always went back to. Her name is Deni Preston. (Turns out she has her own fitness website that I just discovered today, too.) Since it is too hard to go anywhere to workout anymore, I have been Tivo-ing different aerobics workouts. I always get bored so I try to find new stuff all the time. A few weeks ago I saw there was one on BYU-TV. I set it to record so I could check it out & see if it was any good. It turns out, it's my favorite BYU instructor. She now does a TV workout for my exercising pleasure! ( I know it was not done just for me, but it sure made me happy to find it) They are called Total Body Workout. I have been doing her workouts now for a little while now & I love them. It is a full hour long-with NO commercial breaks. She does aerobics, step, kick-boxing, yoga, & strength training. They are fabulous workouts. Anyone who enjoys yoga or aerobics should check them out. I was curious to see if you could access them online, so I went to the BYU tv website and you can! You can also download episodes of them. So, if you need a change of pace in your workout check it out.

What do you like to do to workout???

I am anxious for regular warm weather so I can get out walking again, that's another favorite of mine. I am also determined to run more this year. I have started it a little and I think I can like it, at least I really want to. I get pretty bored though during the winter when I have rotated my workout DVD's too many times & am sick of the treadmill. Anyone have any favorites they would like to share?

Sounds like a great idea! I have to admit, I have no workout routine. In fact..I should probably start one. I need exercise, Mac and I are going to start walking in the evenings and push the stroller. I guess that's a good start.

How funny. I used to do her workouts on Saturday mornings. She was the only workout I could find on the TV. I say used to, because I am now 8 months prego and these days my workout is walking up my stairs.

I'll have to check that out. I usually walk or head to the gym for the power pump class. I love that thing, but it kills me.

I downloaded one of her workouts and started doing it and got a call on the computer and had to shut the workout down. I haven't continued it, but hope to in the next week. I love looking at your blog and seeing what new thing is there! thanks for the news, music, entertainment, and pictures! Love you and hope to see you in Sept.
