Brennan & I often have little chats while we are driving. I usually flip the mirror down so I can see him while we talk.
Today we were driving home from preschool & he said:
"I've never seen Mommies sad."
I said "Your Mommy?"
Brennan: Yeah, I've never seen you sad. What makes you sad?
Me: Sometimes you make me sad if you don't listen to me, but mostly you just make me happy.
Brennan: 'Cause I'm pretty good?
Me: You're really good
Brennan: But, I've never seen you cry
(I am sure he has, it just may have been a while...) I replied: "Yeah, I don't cry that much"
Brennan: What makes you cry? When Daddy doesn't listen?
Me: laughing, yup that's exactly right!

That is really funny! Kids say the cutest things. Ben just told me the other day that having breakfast food for dinner would "change his whole life." So dramatic. Love it!
If I cried everytime Connor didn't listen, i would cry a lot (Football is too much of a distraction). I think that is amazing that he really thinks you are happy all the time. I doubt my kids could say that.
How cute. I love rear-view mirror conversations. We've had a lot of good ones over the years. My little girl loves to talk to me while I drive. She often would say the funniest things.
That is really cute! I love rear-view mirror conversations!:) Now that I drive a big 'ol Suburban, and the girls like to sit in the "way back"....it makes it harder to hear. We just have to speak louder, and laugh a lot when we hear things wrong! :)
